All students enrolled in a degree or certificate program are required to take college placement tests in order to ensure appropriate placement in classes. The results of the assessment, in conjunction with academic background information, are used by college academic advisors to assist you with course selection.
Testing at Bristol is free and students are allowed one re-test.
Students can expect to finish the exam in 1.5 to 2 hours.
Students may be exempt from testing by using SAT, ACT, CLEP or AP scores. Email us for further information.
Representatives from Bristol’s Admissions, Financial Aid, and Placement Testing Offices will meet with High School seniors intending to enroll at Bristol Community College in the Fall. Students will meet with representatives from each department to complete the Admissions application, schedule placement testing, and complete the FAFSA.

Jen Murphy, Coordinator of Engineering Student Support & Services at UMass Dartmouth will be on campus Wednesday, April 1, 2020 to provide relevant course and advising information for making a smooth transition to UMass Dartmouth. The sessions will be helpful to all students, whether just starting out or close to finishing your Engineering or Computer Science transfer degree.
Information sessions will run at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Fall River Campus in the G Building, room G-218.
