Bristol Community College is Military Friendly®
Military Friendly® is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefit for the military community.
"Bristol Community College is dedicated to assisting Veterans in making the transition from military to civilian life. We are committed to doing whatever it takes to make this transition a smooth one. Veteran-specific advising, career counseling and job placement as well as priority registration for Veterans are just some of the reasons Bristol is a welcoming place for Veterans coming home."
If you are a United States military veteran, the Joseph A. Marshall Veterans Center provides you with academic counseling and educational benefit certification. To receive education benefits, you must be certified by one of our Veteran’s Certifying Officials. Your eligibility and benefit payments are based on the length and time of your service and the number of credits and length of the courses in which you are registered.
To be certified, submit all required documentation to the Joseph A. Marshall Veterans Center. Your certification will be processed in a timely manner and sent electronically to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office in Buffalo, NY. They will then determine your eligibility. Please note, this usually takes 6-8 weeks.
When you apply for Financial Aid, keep in mind that any education benefits you receive must be reported on your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form. If you have specific questions please contact the Education Call Center at 1-888-442-4551 (Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. CST).
