Apply for Priority Financial Aid
The Financial Aid office has started downloading FAFSAs for next September.
April 1 is BCC’s priority deadline for FAFSA. You can still apply after April 1. However, if you get your application in by this deadline you increase your chances of receiving grant funds versus loans.
We have financial aid workshops available if you need help. Remember: One big change with the 2017-2018 FAFSA is to use your 2015 income information. This means you don’t have to wait to complete your taxes before submitting your FAFSA!
The big question: how can you pay for your education?
Financial aid can ease the burden of costs by offering grants, scholarships, loans, and work study opportunities for qualified students.
You need to be admitted to an eligible degree or certificate program to receive financial aid. All associate degree programs are eligible and some certificate programs are eligible for financial aid. Download the current list of Financial Aid Eligible Certificate Programs.
The Financial Aid Office uses standards and procedures developed by the U. S. Department of Education to estimate a fair student and family contribution, determine financial need, and then determine the amount and type of assistance that can be offered to meet your educational expenses.
